South Central Washington Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council

The South Central Washington Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council is dedicating to the conservation of natural resources for the benefit of local communities.  We do this by forming partnerships with other local organizations to gather resources needed to solve local problems in the area we serve: Kittitas County, Yakima County, and Benton County.  The RC&D council is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

  • We provide many services to the community such as:
  • Provide technical assistance, education, and training to support land use practices that protect the region’s natural resources.
  • Address community needs by fostering partnerships that result in on-the-ground projects.
  • Assist organizations through grant writing and administration, facilitation, technical guidance, and planning.
  • Create 5-year Area Plans through local participation to identify high priority community and natural resource needs and prioritize RC&D activities.

The RC&D program is about forming partnerships and providing assistance to Make Things Happen! We strive to improve the quality of our community through Natural Resource Conservation and Community Development projects.  Our Board of Directors and Sponsors are made up of local residents and groups who understand the unique needs of our communities. Our Sponsors include:
